They're out and about and in laboratories doing research, learning what's wrong with the environment and how to fix it. They're scientists and technologists and everyday people on a mission. I just had to grab this link and share it. Maya Lin, who created the powerful Vietnam War Memorial --  the one that brings nearly all its visitors to tears --  has created a memorial to the species of the planet. Hover your mouse over some of the dots on the map and you can get lost to in the song of humbpack whales or migrating birds. Lin's digital memorial conjures up feelings of compassion for threatened species around the world.
